About The Braithwaite - Fritsch - Pietsch - Snaith Families
Hi and welcome to my web site. My name is Robert (Bob) Braithwaite, I live in
Brisbane Queensland, Australia, with my wife Valerie, I have been researching
the Braithwaite and Snaith families since my father, Frank Braithwaite died in 1994,
and my mother, Gladys Ruth Braithwaite (nee Peach) died the same year, realising that
I know nothing about their families in England and Germany.
I know most of the families here in Australia.
I am now researching my mothers family, Fritsch, and Peitsch families, who came out
to Australia in the 1800's from Germany.
As I research, I find more and more families are coming into the family tree, so
there could be someone here that you are looking for too!
I am always happy to hear from people who can add to my tree.

NEW ADDITIONS: Will be added as I get new information.
I try to verify all my information but, that can be difficult some times, due to
expense and time etc.
Most of my records in the database are my blood relations, while some are related by
marriage or we have cousins in common.

NO LIVING POEPLE: Although my personal data contains details of both the living and
deceased people, in the interest of privacy, the records on this site are restricted
to those of deceased people only.
If there is a living relation who you may think is of interest, please contact me
for further information.

SURNAMES:
Many surnames have spelling variations.
Tracking back through historical records will often provide evidence of names
evolution.
Names were frequently changed with the arrival in Australia to make them easier to
spell or pronounce. Many German names were anglicized.
Typically the names adopted in this database is that recorded in the birth or
christening records. However, exceptions to this rule have been made when it is clear
that errors have been made, in a few cases, simply so as to keep families together in
the index.
In this case the name from the birth/christening will sometimes be shown in the
birth/christening information.
Where a place, town or City is shown as a place of birth or death, may in fact be the
place where the birth or death was registered,

Please quote the original source of data where this is indicated if publishing it in
anyway.
You should also check these or other sources to ensure I have not made any typing
mistakes when transcribing any data.
(I am still in the process of putting in more sources)
I can offer no guarantees as to the accuracy of the information on this site.
People using the site, to help them in their researches should not consider the site
as a SOURCE, but a guide only. Users should seek out the appropriate documents that
confirm the information for inclusion in their own records.

If any researchers find I have added any wrong information I would be happy to hear
from them.

There may be typing mistakes anywhere in this website, so if anyone spots any obvious
errors, Please let me know.

If anyone has any information, no matter how small, please contact me. I am willing
to share any information I have, including any Photos, BMD Certificates, stories,
history etc.
